Galilee ﹠ Spencer Winter Shoot
Galilee & Spencer
We rode up the mountain in Spencer’s truck to get to Aspen Grove. There were multiple feet of snow from the week’s snowfall. We definitely left our session with snow in our shoes and wet bums, but it was worth it.
Galilee & Spencer met on their mission—they only met a few times but didn’t think much of it at the time. When Galilee got home, they started dating and got engaged a few months later.
I was obsessed with Galilee’s pretty colors that helped them stand out from the dull and muted winter colors. That’s the nice thing about winter shoots in the snow—it allows room for a lot of different color palettes. The browns, pinks, and denim was a perfect combo for their shoot.
If you are ever needing help knowing what to wear to your shoot, I’m happy to make suggestions! Location is everything too—is the location more important to you, or the outfits? Because one affects the other, so you need to consider which is most important and then plan the other around that!
I’d love to work together! Reach out now for more info about pricing & availability.
Bri ﹠ Bryce Engagements
Bri & Bryce Engagements
Bri came into our shoot knowing exactly what she wanted—She showed me her inspiration, which was documentary, moody, playful, and film-inspired. It was so fun running around the art museum with them to take these photos. They knew exactly what they wanted, and it was just so fun being able to capture it for them.
Bri & Bryce’s love is so authentic and real. They danced in the museum, in front of everyone, but it was as if they were the only two people in that museum. Their joy for just being together was so palpable! When I can feel your love for each other, it makes it so much easier as a photographer to document your love—when you are truly just you in our session, magic happens. Do something you love for engagements—don’t just go to the same mountain that every other person goes to; do something uniquely you.
If you like to go camping together, let’s go up to a camp-site, roast some s’mores and take some pictures by the fire pit or inside your camper! Let’s go on a hike together if that’s something that you two love to do. In this way, we can capture something authentic and real. If you want your pictures to be awe-inspiring and emotive, then you need to take them somewhere that makes you feel. If there is a place near and dear to your heart, don’t count it out. Photos can be romanticized anywhere.
Bri & Bryce came into the session with so many ideas (which I love), but were also open to all of my ideas. I love meeting with my couples before our sessions so that I can get a feel for who you are and hear your love story. It is then when I love to discuss locations for where we could shoot your engagements (think of it as like a brainstorm session). These moments where we can get together and chat are everything because they help me see you for who you are and also give you a feel for who I am, so that we can ebb & flow together when we are taking the pictures! I want you to feel 100% comfortable because that is when the true magic happens, when the two of you feel free to be completely yourselves in front of the camera.
Let’s make some magic together!
